HORSE RACING Known as the Midsummer Derby, the Travers Stakes is the highlight of the meet at Saratoga. Tacitus, the runner-up at the Belmont, was the morning line favorite (Saturday, 5 p.m., Fox).

SOCCER It’s rivalry week in Major League Soccer, so make sure to wear your best scarf to the grocery store. The two big coastal derbies are Saturday (Red Bulls at New York City F.C., 7 p.m., ESPN2) and Sunday (Galaxy at L.A.F.C., 10:30 p.m., Fox Sports 1).

N.F.L. You can get a new perspective on the N.F.L. during the Titans vs. Steelers preseason game this Sunday. The game will feature a new camera angle — the “High Sky” camera — as the primary play-by-play, live game coverage camera. (Sunday 8 p.m., NBC)

GOLF The PGA Tour season wraps up with the Tour Championship at East Lake in Atlanta. There is a new format for the 30-player field: a staggered start in which the FedEx points leader, Justin Thomas, began the event with a two-stroke lead over his nearest challenger, Patrick Cantlay, and a 10-shot advantage over the last five qualifiers (Saturday, 2:30 p.m., NBC; Sunday, 1:30 p.m., NBC).

AUTO RACING IndyCar races Saturday night outside St. Louis. Will Power gained his first win of the season last week and is the defending champion at this track (8:45 p.m., NBCSN).
